hithere hithere Welcome to the official website for the South East Wisconsin Home Educated Children's Group Hi, my name is Karie Gardner and I'm co-owners with Lori Groszczyk. We created this group because we knew what we wanted, but not all groups fulfilled this, so we created this group. This group is an INCLUSIVE group. We welcome all moms of all walks of life.

We are in S.E. WI and would like to invite you to join our group. Some activities we have are group days(classes), park days, and hopefully mom's night out(once or twice a month). Group days are mostly held at the New Berlin Library(barring any holidays). Some of these group days can be a game day. Sometimes a guest is invited to come teach us something. Or we just do a craft. These group days can be hosted by any member who would like to host. Just inform Lori or myself asap of this so we can make sure all members are notified with plenty of notice. We can even have a talent day where the kids can show off their talents.

We have 2 yahoo board available for the groups use, an event board(classes, field trips etc..) and a chat board. With these 2 boards available for your use, we ask that you be aware of others feelings when posting. One rule we have at the very start is NO political postings. These just lead to problems. The only political thing that will be allowed is homeschool laws that might/will affect us. We also ask that you be careful posting religious stuff. It's ok to ask for prayers and such, but no religious bashing. Also, if someone posts something that you don't like, either email them privately, or just delete it. If you are warned 2 times to stop posting undesireable posts, you will be asked to leave. We say this up front since we've dealt with this before and don't want a repeat.

Another thing we're in the process of forming a youth group within the main group. This would include ages 13 & up. Once we get this group started, we would like to ask for 2 or 3 moms to volunteer to "chaperone" the kids while they are meeting. This means either hiding in the corner while they do their games and such, or sitting outside the room(it has all windows) to keep an eye. :)

Two main things we require right away are meeting us first before joining. This way you can meet us and make sure we're not too looney (just kidding) and we can see you are actually a mom who exists. We've seen on other groups where moms can join, but you never hardly meet them in person. 2nd thing is we want you to be active in the group. The group won't work if we only have a few people everything. We know you have talent in one thing or another so show it off. :)
